Mazda to unveil a new concept in Russia

Mazda to unveil a new concept in Russia
by Auto123.com
On August 26, Mazda will present an all-new crossover concept at the Moscow International Auto Show. It's based on the automaker's "Nagare" design language, which represents a new styling direction for the Japanese brand.

Recent concepts such as the Furai, introduced at the 2008 NAIAS in Detroit, and the Taiki, launched at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show, are great examples of what Nagare is all about.

When drawing the lines of their latest concept, Mazda designers took their inspiration from the flow of natural elements, especially the wind. In fact, "crosswinds" are a recurring theme in the car's styling.

The result is a very sleek and flowing design that will likely appeal to young drivers. According to Mazda, this crossover targets those with a strong sense of style who look to make an equally strong statement with their vehicle.

It was designed primarily for the Russian market, where auto sales (SUVs, in particular) are steadily on the rise.
